Shannon Falls Haiga

My sister takes amazing nature photographs. When I saw these on her Facebook profile yesterday, complete with haiku she’d written (her first she says), I told her she should write more and my thought was, I’ve got to share these with other lovers of nature and poetry.

Poetry Friday is the perfect place. So here for your visual and reading pleasure is a suite of Shannon Falls Haiga – photos and haiku by Bea MacPherson (shared with her permission, of course).

  1. Wow, I would love to see these falls, but am happy that your sister took the pictures and that you shared, Violet! Each haiku is a new idea to ponder. I love “tule sandpaper”. Thank you!

  2. Violet, these are just stunning. I like #1 and #5 Bridal veil the best. Would your sister like to offer these to my spring gallery? If so, she should place her name and location on each one and send it to me. I would love to showcase these. Please send me your offering also.

  4. These are all gorgeous! Amazing photos and I can’t believe these are her first haiku. Wow! Love the wet rock face, bridal veil, furious white noise especially. Thanks for sharing!
