art, Christmas

Merry Christmas!

Well, we have arrived at Christmas Eve. Can you believe it?! This year has sped by so quickly.

My theory on the seeming fleetingness of time for me is that hours spent painting feel like minutes. I get into paints and brushes and lose track of time. I’m sure it’s that way for you too, whatever you create—stories, songs, dresses, pots, scrapbooks, knitted sweaters, flower arrangements… What a blessing to be able to spend time doing something we love!!

I love Christmas too, so making Christmas art is a happy experience. Last week I shared art I made as a member of Ali Kay’s Fresh Paint School. Today’s paintings are ones I designed and painted on my own.

“Wine Poinsettia” – Acrylic on wood panel, 6x6x.75 inches.
“Gingerbread House” – Acrylic, 6 x 6 x.75 inches
Waiting for Santa – Acrylic on canvas panel, 8×10 inches- SOLD
“Magi” – Acrylic, 8 x 10 inches on canvas panel, mounted on 11 x 14 inch panel, currently on display in the Inspired Arts Gallery of CLA Church in Langley, BC.
“River Birches” -Watercolour on paper, 9 x 12 inches, inspired by a Luthien Loki photo in Landscape Photos FB group.

Thanks so much for coming by and reading – today and whenever you’ve dropped by in 2024!

Now I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
