Christmas Art

This year I have enjoyed creating Christmas art.

It started back in September with a painting for a Christmas card. The inspiration for this 4 x 6 inch watercolour was a stained glass creche made by a friend.

Laid in a Manger – Mixed Media on Paper, 4 x 6 inches.

Then in late September I joined Ali Kay’s Fresh Paint school and found a plethora of ideas and tutorials, all in Ali’s loose colourful style. Here are some I painted under her mentorship.

Golden Glow – 10 x 8 acrylic on canvas panel (S0LD)
Christmas Bouquet – Acrylic on canvas panel, 10 x 8 inches. (Available)
Red Poinsettia – acrylic on wood panel, 6 x 6 x.75 inches – SOLD, but I painted another “Red Poinsettia” – 10 x 10 x 1.5 inches (pictured) and it’s available.
“Christmas Baubles’ – Acrylic on wood panel, 6 x 6 x .75 inches. (Available)
Making Pie – though not exactly Christmas, it reminds me of getting ready for holiday feasts. This one is acrylic on wood panel 10 x 8 x .75 inches. (Available)
White Poinsettia – acrylic on wood panel, 10 x 10 x 1.5 inches. (Available)

And finally…

Shiny Bow – Acrylic on wood, 6 x 6 x .75” (Available)

Though these paintings are available, they can’t be shipped right now due to the Canada Post strike. However, we hope that ends soon. If there’s anything here that catches your fancy, keep it in mind and contact me (via the contact form on this site) in time for you to add it to your 2025 Christmas decor.

In the coming days I’ll post photos of some original non-tutorial paintings I’ve done this Christmas season as well.
