Beach day

Crescent Beach - Surrey, B.C. Canada

Beach day

Sand-warmed
intimate air
drifts sunscreen, hot dogs, kelp
sun-mellowed, anticipating
fireworks

I love, love, love summer! Happy summer mornings, afternoons, and evenings to all who read here.

  1. I never thought about the beach as a time where one can be ‘sand-warmed’ Violet, but it’s true, as you must know. The sand, even on a rather chilly day, holds warmth. Thanks for a lovely picture!

    1. Sorry to hear about your blanket-of-humid-heat-blues. I guess I’m so enthusiastic about summer this year because here it’s been slow in coming. But I hear you, Mary Lee. It always amazes me how small the range of temperatures is, at which the human body is comfortable. A few days in the 90s or 100s F and I’d probably change my tune.
