Prompt – Inspiration:
Around this time of year, the rhododendrons start opening in all their glory around here. This carries on through May. This April 2014 poem was inspired by rhododendrons.

This April I’m celebrating National Poetry Month by posting some not-as-yet published poems from my files, along with what inspired them. If the prompt inspires you to write a poem of your own, you’re welcome to share it in comments. Whether you write or not, thanks so much for dropping by!
Violet, this is fabulous! I have a close up photo of an azalea bush that is in the wings waiting to become a poem. I love the fashion sense your rodos have. Lovely! Happy Poetry Friday.

Thank you, Linda! Azaleas deserve a poem for sure, and I think you’re the one to deliver it!
