On Tuesday members of our Port Kells Art Club delivered their paintings to the gallery. Yesterday our spring exhibition went live! The show runs from April 10 to May 22nd. You can view it in person in the second floor hallway gallery of the Langley Township Civic Centre, 20338 – 65th Ave., Langley B.C., during business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.).

I have two paintings in the show, selected from my series of egg paintings. Both are done in acrylic on 7.5 inch circular wood panels, mounted on 10 x 10 x 0.5 inch cradled wood.
They were a lot of fun to paint, especially the rainbow eggs in their enamel bowl with its chipped red rim. Took me back to my childhood on the farm and the jobs of gathering, washing, and separating out the cracks, then carefully placing the whole eggs into crates, ready for their trip to town.
Those are really cool.
I bought a circle canvas panel a little while ago, but I haven’t decided what to do with it yet.

Thank you Chris! It took me a while to figure out what to paint on them as well. Once I decided to mount them on a larger platform, the project came together.
