In the land of Panem, it’s not only the Hunger Games arena that is hazardous with booby traps!
This is my response to Laura Purdie Salas’s 15-words-or-less image/poem challenge (“Man or Machine?) from yesterday (December 5th). It’s linked to Poetry Friday, hosted today on Life at the Deckle Edge by Robyn Hood Black, one of PF’s divas of haiku.
Brilliant connection with Catching Fire, Violet!

Have you read that trilogy, Catherine? I thought it was brilliant, each book keeping me in its clutches till the end.

11 year old daughter is crazy about Hunger Games and Catching Fire. I’ve read the entire trilogy, Violet two years back, I think. I love it. 🙂

Thanks Myra! Yes, the books have been out for a while. I just read them a few months ago; I’m slow to get on bandwagons!

Yes, I’m a fan, too, & your title caught my eye-missed this on Friday, Violet. Brilliant! I hope I get to see the movie soon!

I’ve only read the books, Linda. I’m very tempted to go see the movies, though often I find the movies based on books i’ve read jarring because they are so different from what I had imagined.
